SEO Manager – London £30k-£40k

An SEO Manager / SEO Programming Manager is required for a leading Internet Portal. As SEO Programming Manager you will be responsible for Managing and implementing the SEO techniques, presenting reports, conducting training based around core editorial/copywriting skills.

As part of the marketing team, the SEO Programming manager function will work alongside other SEO specialists based in UK, France and India focused on driving editorial SEO excellence. Sharing responsibility in increasing the SEO performance of my clients products & content service across UK, France and Germany

Being part of the marketing team, the successful candidate will interface and feed into other marketing disciplines such as CRM and Consumer Marketing but will have no direct responsibilities in those fields.

Another key part of the role will be: SEO Analysis – Performing analyses associated with monitoring or delivering effective SEO work. Such analysis work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: keyword ID analysis; competitive analysis; analysis and research of Search Engine function and development; analysis of client sites, prospective or otherwise, for SEO improvements: Traffic analysis: SERP rank tracking and analysis; Link tracking and analysis.

Key Accountabilities for the role include:

- Based on your editorial background, the SEO Programming Manager is accountable for implementation of SEO relevant programming elements to maximize number of free search visits. This is either done directly by programming through the CMS interfaces in the UK for Channels and Products, steering of freelancers for FR and DE based portals or training additional Programmers sitting within the Channels teams.
- Support Senior SEO Manager to implement the overall SEO strategy. Work to improve operational efficiency and document processes to maximize search visits
- Support the company’s SEO efforts by creating and optimizing content to establish keyword density objectives.
- Use Web analytics tools, keyword research, linking analysis, benchmarking, content writing for search & site analysis
- Managing freelance SEO copywriters/outsourced resources

Key Knowledge and Experience include:

- SEO experience and expertise
- Copywriting / editorial / programming experience
- Knowledge f the Internet, Search Engines, Search Engine Optimisation, and ROI metrics
- Understanding of on-page and off-page ranking and how each Search Engine reacts to these factors
- Strong software analytical skills (MS Excel)
- Extremely detail & results-oriented
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization
- Written/ Spoken expertise in French or German (desirable)
- It would be beneficial if the successful candidate had experience of the following technical skills: HTML, DDA, JavaScript, XML.
