Job Description:
The role will involve working alongside the search manager to plan & deliver paid search campaigns across a range of blue chip companies in varied business verticals including travel, finance, retail & entertainment. Campaign metrics vary from DR to branding, so previous experience running & optimising campaigns of each type is preferential, but not a pre-requirement.
Search covers a multitude of areas online and as such the role requires the candidate to be proficient in the creation of search accounts, keyword & creative development, effective budget management & time management. A keen attention to detail is a firm requirement of the role and an understanding of the wider media mix is encouraged. Previous experience using Google display, mobile, local & content advertising platforms is advantageous as we use elements of this across the client base. As such this role is all encompassing and a great chance to get more involved in integrated cross media campaigns.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Be responsible for managing campaign budgets of up to £50k & optimise the campaign accordingly
- Manage & develop client relationships – first point of contact for client relationships
- Independently coordinate & manage projects alongside the search manager
- Develop & manage account strategy alongside the search manager
- Support client work and liaise with internal departments for cross media campaigns
- Coordinate & check client reports providing insight and suggest areas of improvement
- Manage & develop relationships with suppliers
- Coordinate & check monthly invoicing for all clients
- Ad hoc admin duties
Skills / Experience:
Our senior planner candidate is likely to be a driven and ambitious individual looking to make a name for themselves within a top 10 advertising agency. They will likely have 1-2 years experience in paid search covering bid management & reporting tools, campaign management, budgeting & planning and building client relationships.
The role reports into the search manager for the agency. The candidate will need to be a self-starter, someone who can deliver on their own, as well as work within a team. Working with other departments to plan & manage integrated media campaigns is involved, as well as working closely with the SEO department where applicable.
The candidate should possess strong MS Office (particularly PowerPoint & Excel) and be able to efficiently analyse & make recommendations from large sets of data.
