Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and experienced Online Acquisition Manager who has a flair for SEO and other online acquisition techniques.

The business has been optimised well for natural search and generates a large amount of traffic via search engines.

We believe that the Online Acquisition Manager should not simply be an extension of the marketing team but be at the heart of the business, working across all divisions and with our SEO agency to and ensure that our search rankings are at the forefront of everyone’s mind.

We are undergoing a period of rapid change and development to improve the product. During this period we have three key requirements for this role:

1) To be at the centre of all our website development projects to ensure that any changes we make do not have an adverse affect on our current search rankings.

2) To develop, in conjunction with our agency, new methods, tools and procedures to ensure that we are constantly improving on our SEO rankings both in the UK and overseas.

3) To manage social media, PPC and PR campaigns.
As a UGC service our content is constantly changing and we need to ensure that our SEO / acquisition strategies and tactics are also rapidly evolving.

The candidate must have an excellent grasp of digital marketing techniques and be hungry to be involved in a small, rapidly growing digital business and should share our view that SEO should be at the heart of the business.

You will need to be ambitious, entrepreneurial and results focused.

The role will report into the Marketing Director and will work closely with various teams across the business.

Experience:

  • A track record of continually improving the SEO of a major digital property
  • Proven experience in managing external agencies (inc. search agency)
  • Experience of working within a team developing or redesigning a major website
  • Experience of risk managing an existing SEO position
  • Experience in understanding at times complex SEO solutions
  • Continually keeping ahead SEO developments and industry changes
  • Experience of working with, and ability to evaluate, the best SEO tools on the market to help with the role
  • Deep understanding of what will affect our SEO rankings
  • Experience of managing paid search campaigns
  • Experience of developing and managing a social media strategy.
  • Experience in online display and affiliate marketing a plus
