Job description:

The Natural Search Programme Manager will be responsible for leading  our clients  natural search programmes and will be required to:

  • Provide thought leadership and strategic direction on natural search across Mindshare divisions
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the major factors that influence search engine keyword rankings, site “crawlability” and indexing.
  • Understand the process and methodology of natural link building in order to define and manage link development campaigns
  • Lead natural search optimisation activities including analysis of in-house and client side analytics tools, keyword research and linking analysis including competitive benchmarking, content writing for search and analysis of client’s websites in order to advise on how to make sites work harder for search within their competitor landscape.
  • Understand basic HTML code; working knowledge of JavaScript and ASP preferable.
  • Define and implement SEO solutions designed to meet clients objectives
  • Run technical workshops, were required, for clients on the nuances of search
  • Coordinate with team members and outside partners to ensure search is at the heart of client campaigns
  • Provide regular account management, including interaction with clients and partners via phone, emails and direct contact.
  • Think strategically about client accounts, provide objective-oriented recommendations and provide a solid business rationale for approach.
  • Educate clients on the changes in the search industry and how these changes could potentially affect the clients’ programs and overall objectives

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple SEO projects for a range of blue chip clients
  • An understanding of how paid and natural search work together would be an advantage.
  • Experience of ‘manipulating’ search engine results as well a demonstrable knowledge of the basics and differences between SE algorithms in order to remain a step ahead in developing SEO campaigns.
  • SEO copy writing skills – knowledge of how to write for search via keyword densities, links and distribution
  • Must be a detail-oriented problem solver
  • Must be able to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • Has familiarity with web site development techniques, SEO tools and site analytics packages and principles.
