Job Description:
We are looking for a senior search and social media specialist to help us grow the business.
Review Centre has been optimised incredibly well for natural search and generates a huge amount of traffic via the search engines. We have a very broad range of products and services and benefit hugely from ‘the long tail’ effect.
We believe that the Head of Search and Social Media should not simply be an extension of the marketing team but should be at the heart of the business, working across all internal divisions and with our natural search agency to ensure that our search rankings are at the forefront of everyone’s mind.
The key requirements for this role are as follows:
1) Create the SEO and social media strategy and work with external agencies to implement and manage it going forward.
2) To be at the centre of all our website development projects to ensure that any changes we make do not have an adverse affect on our current search rankings.
3) To develop, in conjunction with our agency, new methods, tools and procedures to ensure that we are constantly improving our natural search rankings both in the UK and overseas.
4) To manage our on and offsite social media strategy to drive brand engagement and traffic.
5) In conjunction with our PR agency develop offsite brand engagement and build back links to the site.
6) Work closely with our internal content team to ensure that their work is aligned with our natural search strategy.
7) To be our search and social media thought leader.
As a UGC service our content is constantly changing and we need to ensure that our SEO / acquisition strategies and tactics are also rapidly evolving.
The candidate must have an excellent grasp of digital marketing techniques and be hungry to be involved in a small, rapidly growing digital business and should share our view that SEO should be at the heart of the business.
This role would suit someone who is ambitious, entrepreneurial and results focused.
The role will report into the Marketing Director and will work closely with various teams across the business.
Skills / Experience:
- A track record of continually improving the SEO of a major digital property
- Passionate about the latest technology, search and social media developments
- Proven experience in managing external agencies
- Experience of developing and managing a social media strategy.
- Experience of working within a team developing or redesigning a major website
- Experience of risk managing an existing SEO position
- Experience in understanding at times complex enterprise level SEO solutions
- Continually keeping ahead of the game with SEO developments and industry changes
- Experience of working with, and ability to evaluate, the best SEO tools on the market to help with the role
- Deep understanding of what will affect our SERP keyword rankings
- Experience of managing multiple paid search campaigns
- Experience in online display and affiliate marketing a plus
